Stoneflow Cement Mirror

A clear reflection sits inside a thick white cement frame with an irregular, textured edge. Stoneflow gives a familiar mirror a sculptural outline that changes character with the surrounding light.
Enquire about this pieceEnquire by emailThe story
The frame does not follow a perfectly straight rectangle. Its edges rise and dip in rounded, uneven folds, giving the mirror a softer and more expressive outline. The white cement surface is visibly rough, with small ridges and recesses that create variation within an otherwise restrained colour. Texture is the central detail here, rather than an applied pattern.
The reflective glass offers a contrasting surface: clear and visually smooth within the substantial border. As daylight or room light moves across the frame, the raised areas and shallow hollows create different shadows. That contrast gives the piece presence even when the reflected view is simple, allowing the frame itself to remain an important part of the room.
For an entrance or dressing-corner concept, consider plain walls and a small number of materials, such as timber and simple woven textiles. A darker background could emphasise the white outline, while a pale one might make the texture more subtle. The final placement and suitable installation should be discussed with the studio, including the mirror's weight and the intended setting.
