Your information,
handled with care.
How Artessy Furniture Studio handles personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Last updated 22 October 2026.
Who we are
Artessy Furniture Studio, 217 Main Road, Hout Bay, Cape Town, South Africa. Email [email protected], phone or WhatsApp +27 64 864 5781.
What we collect
- Your enquiries. When you contact us by WhatsApp, email or phone, we receive what you send: usually your name, contact details and message. If you buy a piece, we also receive the delivery details we need.
- The enquiry form. The form on our website does not store anything. It opens WhatsApp or your own email app with your message ready, and you decide whether to send it.
- Website statistics. Google Analytics gives us aggregate statistics such as pages viewed, device type, approximate region and how visitors found the site. Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off.
- Marketing measurement, only with your consent. If you accept marketing cookies, the Meta Pixel records a page view so we can measure our advertising. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals keep it off.
How we use it
To answer your enquiry, send prices, arrange viewings, delivery and collection, and look after you after a purchase; to understand how the website is used and improve it; and, with your consent, to measure our advertising. We do not sell personal information.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers we rely on: Google (website statistics and web fonts), Meta (WhatsApp messages, and the Meta Pixel if you consent), Cloudflare (website hosting and security), our email provider, and couriers, who receive only the details needed for a delivery. Some of these providers process information outside South Africa under their own safeguards.
How long we keep it
Only as long as we need it for your enquiry or purchase and for legal, tax and accounting records.
Your rights
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to its use for marketing. Email [email protected]. You can also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets first-party cookies such as _ga. Meta cookies such as _fbp are used only if you accept marketing. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
