More than furniture

A room is remembered
by what makes it different.

A root shaped by time. A cupboard painted with a landscape. Cane bent into a graceful curve. At Artessy, materials and makers give every piece its own voice.

The beauty is in the making

Nothing ordinary.
Nothing without a soul.

We work with wood that already has a life behind it: fallen trees, roots, old doors and driftwood. We restore, shape and finish it by hand, keeping the character that makes it worth saving.

Alongside our Cape Town pieces, we curate handmade Bali furniture and paintings by Only Mpofu that turn daily objects into art.
