Tree of Life Cupboard

At the centre of the Tree of Life Cupboard is a motif of connection. Roots reaching into the earth suggest grounding and stability, while branches extending upwards evoke growth, dreams and new beginnings. These ideas are part of the artwork's story, expressed through the relationship between what supports the tree and what reaches beyond it.

Sun and moon details bring another layer of balance: day and night, energy and calm. Flowers, mountains, animals and warm sunset tones build a peaceful African-inspired landscape around the tree. The composition combines symbolic detail with nature, giving the cupboard more to reveal than a single central image.

The cupboard is hand-painted by Only Mpofu and carries his artistic signature, ONLY. Its individual details make the exterior an original Artessy artwork, while the furniture retains its practical storage role. The painted surface brings meaning and character to a piece that remains part of the room's daily use.

Consider it as a focal point in a bedroom, a lodge suite or a guesthouse interior with quieter furnishings. A restrained backdrop could allow the warm colours and the tree's full shape to remain clear. The piece offers a reminder of growth, peace and connection to nature, giving storage a more personal presence.
