Tree Slice Dining Table

The Tree Slice Dining Table brings two natural forms together: a solid wood slice for the top and a specially selected stump for the base. The live edge follows the original outline of the wood, while golden tones and visible grain give the surface its character. Curves and marks remain part of the design.

Artessy's process extended over more than three months, from careful selection through drying, working and finishing. The intention was to reveal the material rather than replace its identity with a standard shape. The stump contributes a sculptural foundation, giving the table the grounded presence described in its original story.

The piece turns a tree into a place for gathering. Its natural form can suggest the forest and the land even within a contemporary room, making shared meals or coffee feel connected to a simpler material world. Grounding and stability are the themes of the design, expressed through the wood's grain, curves and natural presence.
