Protea Pink Dresser & Mirror

The flowers are the first thing you notice: layered pink petals, pale highlights and green leaves opening across the drawer fronts. Only Mpofu's painting works with the furniture rather than hiding it. The divisions between the three drawers remain visible, giving the floral composition a rhythm that belongs to the dresser itself.

Above the painted front, an oval mirror sits between turned timber supports. Its rounded outline offers a quieter counterpoint to the spreading blooms below. Ivory macrame handles introduce another texture, while the shaped furniture and upright supports give the piece a recognisable dressing-table silhouette. Painting, reflection and storage share one useful object.

For a bedroom idea, consider white linen, a simple timber chair and one green accent drawn from the leaves. A restrained setting could let the proteas carry the room's colour without competing patterns. The three drawers can hold everyday dressing essentials, while the mirror keeps the arrangement connected to the ordinary moments that make a bedroom personal.
