Tidal Stories Bathroom Vanity

Rather than one continuous view, the front offers nine small pictures held together by a pale timber frame. A starfish, shells, a seahorse and other coastal subjects occupy their own panels. Blue, turquoise, coral and yellow backgrounds keep the composition lively, while the visible timber texture gives the painted surfaces a different character from a flat print.

Only Mpofu's hand-painted imagery continues onto the top, where a shoreline and palms extend the coastal theme. Small decorative handles sit within the pictures rather than forming a separate visual band. The contrast between the orderly panel arrangement and the varied subjects is what makes the cabinet rewarding to look at, both from across the room and up close.

For an interior concept, pair it with plain walls, simple towels and a mirror that does not compete with the nine panels. A few colours taken from the painted sea could connect the room without turning every surface into a pattern. Install the rear of the vanity flush against the bathroom wall.
